Responsibilities
The Factory Berlin vision is to give the innovators an empower network, and as a member of the community team you’ll be the heart and soul of making this vision come to life. 
In our team you’ll have the opportunity to connect with amazing people, experiment with the creation of new projects and products to activate our community, and lead on our existing favourites to engage our members daily.  
 
Responsibilities:  
  • Contributing to the overall development of the membership offerings, understanding the product potential and proposing ideas for new offers, features and membership products 
  • Supporting members through their membership lifetime by reviewing and processing applications, presenting the Factory Network to new members at Welcome Meetings, and collecting product feedback during Community Office Hours 
  • Conceptualising and managing all local community event formats, from social events like Community Breakfast and Check Out Drinks to pitching and professional networking events like Meet & Pitch and Investor Reverse Pitch.  
  • Curating external partners and community leaders to increase our programming offer through Factory’s Circles program (which are member-led sub-communities) and the Community Hub (which is a self-run events space for partners and members). Supporting these individuals with marketing and event management support 
  • Actively networking with individual members, partners, startups and corporate members within the community to better understand their needs, scouting members for opportunities (i.e. events and program participation)  
  • Scouting, negotiating and managing community partnerships with external companies for the benefit of our members (i.e. programming support, member discounts, opportunities and perks)   
  • Ideating new formats to empower our members, whether AMA forums, workshops, Office Hours or any new unique ideas. 
  • Collaborating with the Communications Manager and Community Desk team to be an active point-of-contact and touchpoint for our members; assisting with member queries, suggestions and complaints where necessary  
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of professional experience in Community Management, Business Development, Customer Service 
  • A high understanding of service standards and customer orientation 
  • Experience working across functions in a small team 
  • A strong interest in and understanding of the startup, tech and creative ecosystems in Berlin  
  • Outstanding written and spoken communication skills, and exceptional interpersonal and networking skills. 
  • A warm and empathetic personality that excels at connecting people and creating hospitable experiences. 
  • Highly effective organisational skills with ability to work across various projects at one time  
  • Solid command of Mac OS and Google for Work apps  
  • Fluency in German and English
